A socio-democratic group under the aegis of Owo/Ose Rainbow Coalition has declared its support for the candidature of a renowned advocate of women and child rights, Hon. Abebi Aruwajoye-Adeniseun in the forthcoming 2027 House of Representatives election.
The group’s executive director, Dr Olatunji Yusuf, described Abebi as a credible and people-oriented leader, whose track record as a renowned advocate of women and child rights makes her the ideal candidate to represent the interests of the people of Owo/Ose Federal Constituency under the platform of All Progressive Congress (APC).
Yusuf stated in a statement made available to journalists that “the group believes that she will be committed to restoring public confidence in governance by aligning her agenda with the Renewed Hope vision of President Bola Tinubu”.
He noted that apart from being a selfless individual who always prioritises welfare of the aged, children, women, as well as the strengthening of traditional institutions, she will consolidate on the people-oriented style of governance of Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, whose administration has recorded significant strides across key sectors.
The group’s executive director also exuded confidence in Hon Abebi Aruwajoye-Adeniseun’s pledge ‘to ensure that the dividends of democracy are effectively delivered to the people of Owo and Ose, particularly prioritising youth initiatives, targeting farmers and petty traders through access to empowerment schemes and small-scale business credit facilities’.
The coalition urged constituents to invest in their future by supporting Hon Abebi Aruwajoye-Adeniseun at the polls, stressing that her emergence in the House of Representatives would guarantee inclusive development and improved welfare for all.
The statement reads, “Hon. Abebi Aruwajoye-Adeniseun has consistently demonstrated her commitment to humanity as a strong voice for women and children.
“These are not just promises; they are part of her lifelong work. Her central focus will be on prioritising the welfare of the aged, children, women and strengthening our traditional institutions.
“What stands her out is her clear understanding of governance and people’s needs. She is determined to restore the faith of the people in leadership by aligning with the Renewed Hope agenda of President Tinubu, while also building on the people-oriented governance style of Governor Aiyedatiwa, whose achievements are visible across sectors.
“She has the capacity and compassion to ensure that the dividends of democracy are not just talked about, but felt by the people. From farmers to petty traders, her empowerment initiatives and access to small-scale business credit will directly improve livelihoods.
