The Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, joined the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu and other eminent Nigerians at the Banquet Hall, Aso Villa, Abuja for the National Flag-off of Incentives to Increase Maternal and Newborn Care Services Utilization.
Oba Adeagbo, who is the Chairman, Moba Council of Traditional Rulers, Ekiti State and the Southwest Coordinator, Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Committee on Primary Healthcare, represented the Ooni of Ife and the Permanent Chairman, Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, at the event.




Also in attendance at the national flag off by the First Lady, Remi Tinubu, were the Minister of Health, Prof. Ali Pate, and other distinguished guests.
The Oore expressed satisfaction with the life-saving programme which has the agenda to improve maternal and newborn care services for the country’s population while simultaneously encouraging uptake of the services at primary healthcare facilities.
The monarch, who lauded the Tinubu administration for the various health initiatives of his administration, which he said had improved the health of Nigerians, said, “Health is wealth. A healthy nation is a wealthy nation”.
