On Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, 2024, all roads lead to the Wave Beach Hall (Hall of Odin) at Elegushi Beach, Elegushi Lekki Lagos for the 85th Birthday celebration of the Elewu of Ewu Ekiti in the Ilejemeje Local Government area of Ekiti State, Oba Bamidele Adetutu Ajayi
Expected to be part of the celebration of Oba Ajayi’s day at the grande event are traditional rulers, senior and retired administators, dignitaries from all walks, clergymen and church members, friends of the royal family, family members and chieftains from the Ewu Ekiti community.
Oba Ajayi clocked 85 on October 2, 2024, but the octogenarian traditional ruler, Olori Lydia Ajayi and the children are rolling out the drums to celebrate the milestone on Christmas Eve.
At 85, the ever-radiant First Class Oba, a former federal civil servant, who retired as Chief Trade Testing Officer in charge of Lagos Zone, looks far younger than the age, agile, hale, hearty, healthy and in good spirits with a very supportive family.
The developments which he had attracted to his community are also cause of joy and celebration to Oba Ajayi.
Recall when he celebrated his 84th birthday last year, the monarch had said, “At 84, I am thankful for so many things. For life and for God granting me good health and very retentive memory. All my sensorial organs are intact. At 84, I thank God that my eyes are quite sharp, reading without glasses. At 84, I still drive myself up and down going as far as Ado Ekiti, Ibadan”.
Interestingly, over one year after today, at 85, Kabiyesi is waxing stronger and still counting.
Congratulations to the Elewu and the family.
Many Happy Returns of your unique day Kabiyesi.
