EKSU gets two new DVCs

The appointments followed the election of the two Professors by the Senate of Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti, at its 296th regular meeting held on Wednesday, 16th April, 2025″

Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti has approved the appointments of two Deputy Vice Chancellors.

They are Prof. Williams Oluwole Adebayo as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and Prof. Michael Olufemi Oke as Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development).

A statement by the Deputy Registrar/Head, Directorate of Information & Corporate Affairs, Bode Olofinmuagun, on Tuesday stated that “the appointments followed the election of the two Professors by the Senate of Ekiti State University, Ado – Ekiti, at its 296th regular meeting held on Wednesday, 16th April, 2025.

Prof. Williams Adebayo, a Professor of Geography and an alumnus, joined the services of the university in 1989 as a Graduate Assistant and became a Professor in year 2007.

Professor Olufemi Oke, the new Deputy Vice Chancellor (Development), joined the services of the university on 1st December, 1993 as a Graduate Assistant and rose to become a Professor on 1st October, 2018.
