Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has welcomed key members of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Allied Peoples Movement (APM) to his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, in a notable political shift in the state,
The delegation, led by Dr Sikirulai Ogundele, a former chairman of the PDP in the state and Hon. Adekunle Abdulkabir Akinlade, engaged in discussions that are widely viewed as a precursor to their anticipated formal alignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC), the ruling party in the state.
Other prominent members of the delegation were Dr Ekelojumati, Hon. Olowo Fuja, and several influential grassroots mobilizers from various local government areas.
The meeting, which was held behind closed doors, was characterized as both cordial and strategic, signaling a pivotal moment in the political reconfiguration ahead of upcoming elections.
Governor Abiodun expressed his appreciation for the delegation’s commitment to fostering unity within Ogun State, highlighting the APC’s dedication to inclusive governance and sustainable development.
