Good health: Senator offers free medical outreach to 6000 constituents

* Reassures district of quality, effective representation

The senator representing Ondo North Senatorial District, Senator Jide Ipinsagba, has continued to demonstrate his passion for the good health of his people across the six local government areas of the district.

He has once again offered free medical outreach where over 6000 constituents benefitted.

Senator Ipinsagba had in the last one and half years of representing Ondo North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, embarked on various categories of free medical outreaches across the six local government areas of the district.

This time, the outreach which held across the senatorial district in Ikare-Akoko, Oka-Akoko and Owo targeted residents experiencing health challenges in the six local government areas of the district

The Free Medical Outreach which is in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health and Conclusion General Services Limited covered medical services as Opthalmological services, eye surgeries with treatment and supplies of free drugs and reading glasses.

The senator, represented by a legislative aide and a former lawmaker in Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Olusola Aladetimehin, said that the move was in line with Ipinsagba’s electioneering promises of ensuring that the people of Ondo North Senatorial District were not left out of the dividends of democratic governance.

He said, “I will continue to ensure my constituencies have access to what belonged to them from the National Assembly to complement what the Ondo State Government under Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa is doing at developing the state.

“Under my representation, Ondo North Senatorial District will not be left out of enjoying dividends of democracy”.

Senator Ipinsagba commended the turnout for free medical outreach.

Also speaking, the Leader of the Medical Team, Dr Umar Ahmed, commended the tireless effects of Senator Jide Ipinsagba at giving back to the people of his Senatorial District.

Ahmed said, “Thanks to the tireless efforts of Senator Jide Ipinsagba, we have been able to facilitate life-changing eye surgeries and treatments in Owo General Hospital, Oka-Akoko, and Ikare-Akoko State Specialist Hospital. These interventions have not only restored vision to countless individuals, but have also given them a new lease on life.

“Our ophthalmological services include Cataract Surgery, Glaucoma Surgery, reading glasses and treatment among others. We have assembled a team of highly skilled medical professionals who are dedicated to providing top-notch care to our patients.

“We recognize that access to quality healthcare is a fundamental right and we are committed to making it a reality for all our citizens. We will continue to work tirelessly to ensure that our hospitals are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and that our medical personnel receive the training and support they need to excel in their work,” the medical expert said.
