The foundation stone of Ekiti State University pensioners’ building will be laid at Irasa along Ado – Iworoko Road on Tuesday, 16th July.
The Publicity Secretary, Nigeria Universities Pensioners Association (NUPA), EKSU Branch, High Chief Dr Ajibade Olubunmi, said that the event, which would serve as fund raising for the completion of the edifice, would kick off by 10am.
Olubunmi said that dignitaries expected included the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji; the Founder of Afe Babalola University, Aare Afe Babalola; and the EKSU Vice Chancellor, Prof. Eddy Olanipekun.
The NUPA spokesperson said that the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe; the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye III; present and former senators from Ekiti State, Speaker and members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly and state commissioners would also grace the event.
He added that EKSU former VCs, deans of faculties, university union leaders, eminent politicians and business moguls were also being expected.
