For the children of the Elewu of Ewu Ekiti in the Ilejemeje area of Ekiti State, Oba Bamidele Adetutu Ajayi, attaining the age of 85 is a special grace of God.

As such, they brought together royalty, families and friends to celebrate the occasion of the 85th birthday of their father, Oba Ajayi.

Oba Adetutu Ajayi, a former federal civil servant, who retired as Chief Trade Testing Officer in charge of Lagos Zone, clocked 85 on October 2, 2024, but Olori Lydia Ajayi and the children deferred the celebration till December 24.

It was a happy, enthusiastic and celebratory gathering at Wave Beach Hall (Hall of Odin) at Elegushi Beach, Elegushi Lekki Lagos on the Christmas Eve for the 85th birthday celebration of the first class traditional ruler.

The roll call of guests included the Onipole of Ipole Iloro in Ekiti State, Oba Oladele Babatola and the Onijaro of Ijaro in Ekiti State, Oba Joshua Ogunbiyi.

The birthday bash to celebrate the life and good health of the traditional ruler was an occasion to take a break from the hurly burly reality, socialise, dance, dine and wine.

For the happy children and grandchildren, the event was yet another moment to celebrate the lovely patriarch and monarch and as well to get together as they popped champaign to celebrate the momentous milestone.

Olori Lydia Ajayi was all smiles, relished every moment of the celebration of her husband as guests were treated to her culinary prowess.
