* Prove allegations against me – Obasa

Crowd of supporters on Saturday welcomed the ousted Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, back to Lagos.
Recall that he was impeached on January 13, 2025 while he was out of the country.
Obasa was treated to a rousing welcome by the supporters who came in their numbers to show solidarity with him as they sang in praise of the legislator and his deeds.
Among inscriptions on the placards carried by the supporters were ‘Obasa, the undisputable leader’, ‘Asiwaju leader of our leader’.
Obasa, in an address to the crowd of supporters during the welcome rally at his Joel Ogunnaike GRA residence, Ikeja, dismissed all the allegations against him, describing them as “fictitious and unsubstantiated”.
The lawmaker, who said he was never afraid of being removed as Speaker, said such should have been done within the ambit of the law.
He said, “If I am not speaker, that’s not the end of the world. If you want to claim that I am corrupt, please prove it”.
