PHOTOS: Excitement as Ekiti Rep hosts Easter Retreat in constituency

The House of Representatives member representing Oye/Ikole Federal Constituency, Hon Akin Rotimi (aka Akin Omo Akin) has organized an Easter Retreat where he celebrated the Easter festivities with his constituents.

The retreat which held at Oye Ekiti attracted constituents in large numbers from the Oye and Ikole local government areas constituting the federal constituency, who came to enjoy the season under the spirit-filled atmosphere as they danced, sang, prayed and made merry.

The event, with the theme, Salt of the Earth”, was put together by The AkinỌmỌAkin Constituency Office, in collaboration with the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Ikole and Oye Chapters.

The event, which brought together constituents and members of the Christian community, was aimed at celebrating the Easter season and reflecting on the significance of being agents of positive change in society.

Reverend Tunde Afe, Senior Pastor/Founder of House of Faith Christian Center, delivered an inspiring message as the guest speaker, emphasizing the importance of active Christian involvement in promoting positive change.

The Rep member and convener of the event, Rotimi, said, “It is a time of worship, reflection, gratitude, and unity, and we are grateful to Rev. Afe for his insightful message.

“We are delighted by the success of the Easter Thanksgiving service and the enthusiastic participation of our constituents.

Rotimi, who extended warm wishes to all constituents for a joyous Easter celebration, emphasized the importance of the season, urging everyone to reflect on the selfless and loving nature of Jesus Christ and to emulate His example in their lives.

Attendees at service, which featured prayers, hymns, and a special thanksgiving session, expressed appreciation for the opportunity to come together in worship and fellowship during the Easter season.
