Group inducts Ekiti Elders’ president, Prof. Oluwasanmi, into Hall of Fame

A group, the Afe Babalola Beneficiaries Worldwide (ABBW) will on Thursday, June 26, induct elder statesman and the President of Ekiti Council of Elders, Prof. Joseph Oluwasanmi, into the hall of fame.

The Coordinator of ABBW, Chief Solomon Ogunniyi Morakinyo, said in a statement that the honour to the nonagenarian plastic surgeon
is “in recognition of his outstanding achievements and exemplary contributions to humanity”.

Morakinyo, who is the publisher of Kayegbo, speaking about Prof. Oluwasanmi, said, “Here is a respected elder statesman who has used his profession to touch lives like our benefactor, Aare Afe Babalola, who has stood for humanity. His profile is a must read for others to emulate. Celebrating him while still alive is our priority”.

He said, “We have been inducting nation builders into the hall of fame since 2018, our Baba, Prof. Oluwasanmi, will join them on 26th June 2025 for prosperity and for his contributions to the past Afe Babalola Day.

“ABBW, ambassadors and admirers of Aare Aare Babalola, have built a multi-million naira Afe Babalola Hall of Fame and History Museum at a strategic location on hillside at Okemesi Tourism Village, first of its kind in Africa,” Morakinyo said.
