Warning signs a building is about to collapse – NEMA

The National Emergency Management Agency is worried about the incidents of building collapse in parts of the country.
Worse still is the fact that residents get killed or trapped while valuable are lost to the cases.
NEMA, which is of the view that “a building collapse doesn’t happen without warning,” urged Nigerians to pay attention to the warnings and vacate such buildings.
According to a directory by NEMA made available on its X handle, such warnings are:
“Cracks, unusual sounds, tilting walls, sagging floors, or other structural changes should never be ignored. Knowing the warning signs and acting early can save lives.
“Watch. Learn. Share. Stay alert,” NEMA stated.
