The ancient Otun Ekiti community has continued to take pride in the respect for culture and tradition and observance of all traditional and cultural practices as done in the days of old, modernity notwitstanding.
These were on display last week when the Umoko Quarters of Otun Ekiti, presented their choice candidate, Saliu Abdullahi, for the Saloro title, their tradition chieftaincy title, to the monarch, the Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo, for royal blessings.
Oba Adeagbo, who is the paramount ruler of Mobaland, prayed for the incoming Salaro, Saliu Abdullahi, during the presentation at the Oore Palace.
