Experts to dissect how Nigeria can halt culture of profligacy

This month’s edition of BOILING POINT ARENA, promises to push further the conversation on the entrenched culture of profligacy and wastage by successive governments in Nigeria over the years, with far-reaching solutions proffered.

The title of this edition of the monthly interview discourse which commands large global audience slated for Sunday December 10, 2023 at 8pm, is “Dismantling Profligacy in our Governance System and How to Chart a Path to Nigeria’s Economic Revival”

Expected on the podium as discussants are two top-rate professionals, the Chairman/CEO of Proshare Limited, one of Nigeria’s foremost financial intelligence hub, Mr Olufemi Awoyemi and a Communication Professional and Development Expert and former Managing Director/Editor-in-chief, Champion Newspapers Group, Mr Ugo Onuoha.

Both Awoyemi and Onuoha, who are astute financial analysts in their own rights, are expected to offer insightful perspectives on the several missed opportunities to revamp Nigeria’s economy through unending drain of national resources and lavish spendings which do not add up to infrastructures on ground.

The duo are also expected to walk the global audience through Nigeria’s humongous debt profile and bloated cost of governance while pin-pointing other factors responsible for our economic retrogression as a nation.

Penciled as keynote Speaker at the interview session is one of Nigeria’s foremost monarchs, the Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Oba Prof Saka Matemilola, in his capacity as Chairman, Boiling Point Council of Royals and Elders.

The months’ edition, which is the 14th in the series of the online interview discourse, will hold via Zoom on Sunday and is expected to be transmitted live by an Abeokuta-based radio station, Sweet 107.1FM, for the two hour duration from 8pm to 10pm.

The current affairs programme, with an incredibly large online followership, is the brainchild of the Initiator and Convener, Dr Ayo Arowojolu, a Media Professional with 33 years multi-varied work career experience spanning the media, banking and education sectors.

According to a statement by the Chairman, Organizing Committee for the discourse, Mr Eddy Ademosu, one of Nigeria’s notable Public Relations icons, the interview session will in particular point the way forward for the country in furtherance of regaining the once enviable status as Africa’s Giant.

Ademosu commended the Board and Management of Sweet FM, chaired by the ppromoter, Senator Olugbenga Obadara, for identifying with worthy causes through partnering with the Boiling Point platform to widen the audience reach for the programme.

BOILING POINT, a news and general interest platform, comprises an array of eminent personalities including over 300 professors, technocrats, industry leaders, High Court Justices, traditional rulers, security top shots, media professionals and several others.
