“With Governor Aiyedatiwa, a positive new dawn is here with us in Ondo State as we are already celebrating his victory in advance”
ODE AYE, a populous ancient community in Okitipupa Local Government area of Ondo State literally stood still for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Thursday when his supporters held a strategic meeting ahead of next month’s governorship primary election of All Progressives Congress.
Prior to the meeting, beyond the billboards of the governor and APC governorship aspirant mounted at various locations in the community, youths and other party faithful, who donned Aiyedatiwa’s fez caps, sauntered about town, chanting “O’Datiwa, O’Dirorun” and spreading the message of the governor.
Without mincing words, the loyalists said that Aiyedatiwa’s experience, exposure and enterprising qualified him as the right man for Ondo State APC gubernatorial ticket.
Former Chairman of Okitipupa Local Government, Hon Wale Ogunmade, speaking at the well attended enlarged meeting of major stakeholders of APC held in his countryhome, said, “The party leaders unanimously agreed that Ode-Aye and her people stand to gain in Aiyedatiwa’s government hence the leaders all promised to work tirelessly for Mr Governor’s victory in April 25 Gubernatorial primary election”
Ogunmade said, “The unity the community is clamouring for is back through APC as Mr Governor has special interest in Ode-Aye”.
The Guest Speaker at the meeting and Special Adviser to Governor on Health, Prof. Simidele Odimayo, who harped on need to ensure Aiyedatiwa get the APC ticket and win the election to move the state forward, said that Aiyedatiwa is already showing difference in governance with his impactful performance in office.
Odimayo said, “In fairness, everything supports Governor Aiyedatiwa as his government is a divine one. His positive difference is already been seen and felt in the State”.
“His remarkable accomplishments, unparallel work ethic and visionary outlook as Ondo State Governor in about three months is defining aspect of his leadership”, he said.
APC chieftain and businessman, Dr Jide Adewinle said, “Governor Aiyedatiwa’s victory is clear and pure. Be rest assured, Aiyedatiwa is a winner already, as every factor favours him as his goodwill across board is going to make his victory spectacular”, he said.
Media Aide to the Governor, Bombay Ladi-Okunniga said, “Governor Aiyedatiwa will not just win APC ticket, he will defeat oppositions with historic landslide victory as God’s will has started already in it’s fulfilment”.
Business man, community leader and APC chieftain, Chief Tayo Eniku said, “with Governor Aiyedatiwa, a positive new dawn is here with us in Ondo State as we are already celebrating his victory in advance” .
Leaders at the meeting included Aye Ward 1 APC Chairman, Chief Ayodele Akinsowon; Aye Ward 2 APC Chairman, Chief Ajimiraye Omoboyewa (Agbede); Aye Ward 1 women leader, Mrs Ajibola Olaborede; Aye Ward 2 women leader, Mrs Abeke Wemimo; former Aye Ward 1 councillor, Hon Adebayo Akindele; and former Aye Ward 2 councillor, Hon Taiwo Orina.
Others included Chief Kola Akinnawonu, High Chief S.A Megbontowon, High Chief Abayomi Omopintemi (Ferry), Elder Isaac Omo Omogoroye, Prince Bola Akinlalu and another guest, who is former Okitipupa Local Government APC Vice Chairman, Gbenga Osedele Labaruma.
Others are Hon Benson Akinbo, Youth Influencer, Mr Joshua Idebi No-Gain; Daisi Olahoro; Aiyedatiwa Ward Coordinators and unit coordinators, other APC chieftains, Youth representatives, Aiyedatiwa’s women wing and others.
