ALBUM: Splendours of majesties as Oore, royalties grace Emir of Lafia’s coronation anniversary

The fifth coronation anniversary of the Emir of Lafia and Chairman of the Nasarawa State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness Hon. Justice Sidi Bage Muhammed 1 JSC (rtd.), was a display of majestic splendour.

The array of royal majesties in attendance including the Oore of Otun and paramount ruler of Mobaland, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, added splendour and grandeur to the ceremonies.

Dignitaries including Nasarawa State Governor, Engr Abdullahi Sule; diplomatic corps; eminent men of the bar and bench; business magnets and people of Lafia were part of the august occasion.

His Royal Highness Sidi Bage, a retired Supreme Court Justice was all smiles as he played hosts to the dignitaries that had come from far and near to be part of the auspicious events.

Beyond the celebrations, the Emir spared thoughts for his alma mater, Government Science School Lafia, on Friday with a donation of N5m as support to equip its science laboratory as part of activities for the fifth coronation anniversary.

Sidi Bage, a member of the Class 1974 set, who said the gesture was to continue sustaining the legacy of the school to improve on the performance of more generations to come, charged students of the school to be hard-working and dedicated to their studies in order to succeed.

The Emir, who gave especial recognition to the Oore for his dignified presence and substance from Moba Kingdom, lauded Oba Adeagbo as a distinguished Royal Father and bridge builder in Nigeria, adding that he respects Ekiti people for their astounding knowledge in different fields.

The Oore, Oba Adeagbo, who graced the coronation anniversary alongside a retinue of Moba chiefs and functionaries, congratulated the distinguished retired Supreme Court Justice on the occasion and wished him very many years as Emir of Lafia.

Oba Adeagbo, who said presence of traditional rulers from far and near at the event signals unity in Nigeria, added, “For instance, for the Oore of Otun Ekiti and Paramount Ruler of Mobaland, Moba Local Government, Ekiti State to travel all the way to Lafia, Nasarawa State from Otun Ekiti, speaks volumes about unity and cultural cooperation”.

“Such social and cultural invitations and visits enhance the bond and revered unity of our country, Nigeria, the greatest on earth”, the Oore (Oloore Oduduwa) said.
