BOUESTI Council ratifies promotion of 295 senior staff members

The Governing Council of the Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere Ekiti has ratified the promotion of three deputy registrars, one deputy bursar.

The council headed by Prof. Oladipo Aina also approved the regrading of 10 senior lecturers as associate professors, ratified the promotion of 281 senior members of staff and the incremental credits granted 545 members of staff as a result of their satisfactory performances.

The Governing Council also reviewed the circumstances surrounding the wrongful disengagement of five high ranking officers of the institution from service for nine months in 2019 and consequently approved the condonation of the period of the disruption in service as part of their service period in the institution.

A statement from the Office of the Registrar made available on Monday, stated that the council’s ratification and approval, put seal on the recommendations of the Appointments and Promotions Committee on the 2022 Annual Staff Performance Review Exercise.

It stated that Mr Temitope Akinbisoye, Miss Chika Ejiakonye and Mrs Oluwakemi Ayodeji were promoted to deputy registrar while Mr Clement Ologuntuyi was promoted to deputy bursar with effect from October 1, 2022.

The statement listed the 10 senior lecturers regraded as associate professors as Dr Joseph Olurotimi Ogunlade (Couselling Psychology), Dr Mercy Adenike Bankole (Language & Linguistics), Dr Clement Oladayo Daramola (Social Science Education) and Dr Olayinka Olabimpe Ojo (Art Education).

Others are Dr Omoniyi Alabi Adeosun (Management Science), Dr Ibukun Omolara Akinwumi (Science Education), Dr Olukayode Babafemi Ajaja (Management Science), Dr Janet Chinwe Olowoyeye (Agriculture), Dr Ernest Olaolu Dawodu (Agriculture) and Dr Micheal Olusola Ogunmola (Design and Fine Arts).

Aina, who reiterated the council’s commitment to continuous development of the university in all ramifications, assured members of staff of a career-friendly platform that guaranteed job satisfaction and devoid of unnecessary inhibitions.
