Ekiti approves monarchs for Emure, Esun, Ayebode

Ekiti State Government has approved the appointment of monarchs for Emure Ekiti, Esun Ekiti and Ayebode Ekiti.

The Commissioner for Information, Taiwo Olatunbosun, said in a statement on Thursday that the that approval was made at the State Executive Council meeting which held on Wednesday.

He stated:

For Emure Ekiti, “Prince Ajiboye Babatunde James from the Abenimota Ruling House is to succeed the late Oba Emmanuel Adebowale Adebayo from the Adumori Ruling House who passed away on 30th May, 2024.

“The provision of the Chiefs Law (2012) was strictly adhered to in the selection of Prince Ajiboye Babatunde James as the Elemure of Emure Ekiti-elect and legal notice authorized for publication in the State Government Gazette”.

For Esun Ekiti, “Prince Bankole Olasehinde Ilugbusi from the Atiba Ruling House is to succeed the late Oba David Babatunde Ogunsakin from the ljisun Ruling House who passed away 29th January, 2024.

“The provision of the Chiefs Law (2012) was strictly adhered to in the selection of Prince Bankole Olasehinde Ilugbusi as the Elesun of Esun Ekiti-elect and legal notice authorized for publication in the State Government Gazette”.

For Ayebode, “Prince Omolayo Olusola Emmanuel is to succeed the late Oba Augustine Tayo Famoroti from the Famoroti Ruling House who passed away on 24th September, 2022.

“The provision of the Chiefs Law (2012) was strictly adhered to in the selection of Prince Omolayo Olusola Emmanuel as Owa of Ayebode Ekiti-elect and legal notice authorized for publication in the State Government Gazette”.
