Family announces burial arrangements for Oba Adekunle Adeagbo’s mother

The Family of Hon. Prince Samuel Adebowale Adeagbo, former Vice Chairman, Committee on Transport, Federal House of Representatives,1979 – 83 has unveiled the funeral arrangements for the matriarch, Olori Janet Ara Adeagbo, the mother of the Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adeayo Adekunle Adeagbo.

The late Olori Janet Adeagbo, popularly known as Iya Oba, was the Chairman Kadejan Hotels, Bashorun Ibadan and First Chairperson of Otun Ekiti Day celebrations 1988.

Oba Adeagbo described Iya Oba as “a community developer, a passionate giver,dutiful wife and mother to his husband and family”.

The monarch said, “She encouraged her husband to be community-driven and ensured the her husband, Hon. Prince Adeagbo, built a biscuit factory in Mobaland so as to encourage youthful employment and increase the IGR of Mobaland and Ekiti State. What a disciplined and devoted soul!

“She observed the community’s royal tradition till she passed on to glory at on Saturday, June 22, 2024 at the age of 87. May her soul rest in the bossom of the Almighty, Amin Ashe Edumare,” Oba Adeagbo said..

The Oloriebi, Pastor Akin Adeagbo, thanked God Almighty on behalf of the family “for a life well spent by our beloved mother”.
