FUOYE resumes for new session October 6, releases hostel accommodation procedures

The Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE), Ekiti State, Nigeria has fixed October 6 for the resumption of fresh and returning students for 2025/2026 academic session.

A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the University, Mr Foluso Ogunmodede, stated that the University Registrar, Mr Mufutau Ibrahim, made the disclosure in a release.

Ibrahim, who said students would be allowed into the university hostels on the resumption date, urged fresh and returning students to comply accordingly.

The Registrar restated FUOYE’s commitment to delivering a structured and flexible academic year that would support intellectual growth, innovation, and holistic student development.

Also, the Students Affairs Officer, Mr J.O. Adeyemo, who stated that returning students had been considered for the 2025/2026 hostel accommodation allocations, urged those who applied to confirm their allocation status effective from September 24.

Adeyemo listed the procedure for payment and clearance for hostel spaces to the allocated students below:

“The student portal will be activated for hostel payment on Wednesday, 24th September, 2025,

“All students, who applied for spaces in the university hostels are required to confirm their hostel allocation status on the student portal starting from Wednesday, 24th September, 2025,

“Make payment for hostel allocation via the student portal,

“Present proof of payment at the Students Affairs Division,

“Obtain the Hostel Dues account number from the Students Affairs Division,

“Pay the prescribed amount into the Hostel Dues account,

“Submit photocopies of both the hostel allocation fee receipt and the hostel dues receipt to collect the Hostel Code of Conduct (HCC) Booklet which contains the undertaking form, room and bed space number,

“Make two photocopies of the page containing your room number in the HCC Booklet.

“Submit one copy to the Hostel accommodation officer in the Students Affairs Division, and

“Present the other copy to the Hostel Supervisor at your allocated hostel for check-in.”

The university hostel will open to receive students on Monday, 6th October, 2025, Adeyemo said.
