‘Centre will boost community, youth development’

The Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, has expressed delight over the establishment of Citizenship and Leadership Training Centre, a Federal Government owned parastatal in Ilawe Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Oba Alabi said that the centre would bring about positive development in the community and as well enhance capacity of the youths.

The former chairman of Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers spoke in a statement by his media adviser, High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi.

Oba Alabi promised to make land available “for the expansion of the centre to allow it accommodate all activities earmarked for the establishment including training of personnels particularly the youths”.

The traditional ruler hailed an indigene of the community, who is the Senator representing Ekiti South Senatorial District, Senator Yemi Adaramosu, for the establishment of the Centre in Ilawe Ekiti and praised the Senate spokesman for contributions to the positive development of Ilawe Ekiti and youths in Nigeria generally.

The Director General of the centre represented by the Director of Training, Ebiware Elebiri, said that the Ilawe Ekiti Centre was one of the three such Centres in the South West and the sixth in the whole country.

He said that activities of the centre included youth development, on line training and the training of Man O’ War personnels.

The statement added that officers have since been deployed to centre to be headed by a Coordinator.
