Ondo State Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Otunba Wale Akinlosotu, has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of the 2025 Independence Anniversary celebration.

Akinlosotu, who described the 65th Independence as a milestone in the country’s journey of nationhood, hailed President Bola Tinubu and Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa for their purposeful and impactful governance.

The commissioner, in his Independence Anniversary message to Nigerians and the people of Ondo State, charged, “Let us as citizens rededicate ourselves to the values of unity, diligence, and patriotism. Together, we can actualize the Nigeria of our dreams”.

He stated, “Sixty-five years on, Nigeria stands tall as a resilient nation bound by the sacrifices of our founding fathers and the collective determination of our people to build a country of unity, peace, and progress. This day calls for sober reflection, renewed patriotism, and a stronger resolve to move our nation forward.

“I commend the purposeful leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, whose Renewed Hope Agenda is laying solid foundations for economic transformation, national integration, and a brighter future for all Nigerians.

“Likewise, I salute the pragmatic leadership of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, whose people-centered governance and development-focused initiatives continue to position our Sunshine State as a beacon of growth and stability within the Nigerian federation”.

The commissioner congratulated Nigerians in general and the people of Ondo State in particular, saying, “Happy Independence Day! God bless Nigeria. God bless Ondo State”.
