PHOTOS: Oore celebrates Olomojobi on inauguration as Ekiti Head of Service

For the Oore of Otun Ekiti and the Paramount ruler of Mobaland, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, the elevation of an indigene, Dr Folakemi Olomojobi, to the position of the Head of Service of Ekiti State was a call for celebration.

With the swearing in of Dr Olomojobi as the HoS by Governor Biodun Oyebanji on Tuesday, Olomojobi, who until the elevation, was the Permanent Secretary in the state Ministry of Education, becomes the second female Head of Service in Ekiti State.

Oyebanji, speaking while performing the swearing-in, at the event attended by the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye; First Lady, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, six former Heads of Service, traditional rulers, civil servants, friends and family members, commended the new HoS for her years of proficiency, patriotism, and professional service to the state.

He affirmed that she earned the appointment on the strength of her competence, impactful service, and objective assessment in line with the merit-based policy of the administration.

The governor said, “There is no doubt that Dr Olomojobi is one of the highly trained, globally exposed, intellectually sophisticated public servants. She comes with a lot of skills that will definitely bring remarkable improvement to the civil and public service of Ekiti state.

“The positive response that greeted her appointment across the ranks and files of the service is eloquent testimony to her suitability for the position”.

The Oore, Oba Adeagbo, who described Olomojobi ‘s elevation to the position as a positive development to Otun Ekiti and Ekiti State in general, expressed his happiness as he led the chiefs and people of his community to the celebrations.

Oba Adeagbo said, “I, on behalf of myself, my family and the entire people of Otun Ekiti and Mobaland, congratulate Dr Mrs Olomojobi, a cherished and distinguished daughter of Otun Ekiti Mobaland as the new Head of Service of Ekiti State.

The Oore prayed for the New Head of Service for an excellent tenure in office.
