PHOTOS: Praises as Senator Arise bags Lifetime Achievement Award

It was accolades galore for former Senate Committee Chairman on Privatisation, Ayo Arise, in Lagos recently, as he bagged Lifetime Achievement Award.

Just as Senator Arise was honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award, his company, File Solutions Company also got the Biometric and Identity Management Game Changer of The Year Award on the occasion.

The event, which held at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos State, attracted dignitaries who came from far and near to attend the event organized by Titans Tech.

They included the Chairman, Nigeria Ports Authority, Senator Dayo Adeyeye; Senator Iyiola Omisore; Mr Kayode Alufa; former Obafemi Awolowo University Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bamitale Omole; Engr. Duro Omogbenigun; Mr Gbenga Akinbode; and Mr Lanre Arise among others.

The latest double awards are in recognition of the Oye Ekiti born ICT guru’s contribution to the development of technology especially the introduction of ATM MasterCard in Nigeria and many other African Countries.

On why the Senator was selected for the prestigious award, the Executive Secretary of the Titans of Tech Awards Board, Don Pedro Aganbi, said Senator Ayo Arise was selected in recognition of his pioneering role in laying the foundation for a modern digital Nigeria.

Aganbi said, “His (Arise’s) contributions to card technology, e-commerce infrastructure, data identity systems and tech policy are not only legendary but transformative.

“The Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest honour in Africa’s tech industry, reserved for visionary leaders whose legacies have reshaped the future. Senator Arise is thoroughly deserving as his work has helped birth the digital Nigeria we know today,” Aganbi said.

Speaking glowingly of the Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, the NPA Chairman, Sen. Dayo Adeyeye described Senator Arise as “a blessing and pride to Ekiti State, Nigeria and the whole wide world.

Arise, in his response, commended President Bola Tinubu for creating a conducive atmosphere for entrepreneurs to thrive in the country, hence the need for the youths to key into the trend for a better future.

The ICT expert turned politician, who appreciated the group for the honour, urged Nigerian youths “to exploit every opportunity in the technological sector especially legally to contribute to the development of the country”.

The Oye Ekiti born All Progressives Congress chieftain, called on the younger ones to always surround themselves with smarter, intelligent and hardworking friends to achieve greatness.

The Biometric and Identity Management Game Changer of The Year Award for File Solutions Company owned by Senator Arise was received on behalf of the Company by Miss Omolade Ogunmiluyi on the occasion.

Other award recipients on various technological initiatives at the occasion are the Minister of Interior Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo; Imo State Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma; and many other entrepreneurs.

The 21st edition of the event, organised by “Titans of Techs Awards” was designed to celebrate visionaries, pioneers and big thinkers who have transformed industries and shaped the future of technology.

The Titans of Tech Awards, called ‘The Tech Grammy’, is Africa’s topmost platform for celebrating excellence and impact in the continent’s technology ecosystem.

The latest edition, the high-octane event is organised by Technology Africa in association with TechTV, two platforms renowned for chronicling and shaping the continent’s tech narrative.
