PHOTOS: Spectacles as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Fitri with Oba Adeagbo @ Oore Palace

IT was with happiness and excitement that Muslims in Otun Ekiti, Mobaland Local Government area of Ekiti State celebrated Eid-el-fitri marking the end of 30-day Ramadan fasting on Sunday.

As usual every year, the celebrating Muslims on Sunday thronged the expansive palace of the Oore of Otun Ekiti and Paramount Ruler of Mobaland, Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo, for the end of the Ramadan prayers and festivities.

The Chief Imam of Otun Ekiti, Chief Imam Onipede, who expressed delight over how the Oore has been administering the Otun Ekiti, prayed for long life of the traditional ruler and more showers of blessings and grace.

The religious leader prayed for continuous success and progress for sons and daughters of Otun Ekiti and as well sustained development of the community.

The Oore, Oba Adeagbo, who played host to the Muslims led into the palace for the celebration by the Chief Imam, rejoiced with them for successful completion of the Islamic injunction, 30-day fasting in the month of Ramadan.

Oba Adeagbo, who appreciated the Muslims for the yearly event and activity in the palace said it was show of religious harmony as he lauded Muslims in the area and Ekiti State for love and peace, which he said they must continue to exhibit in the interest of unity, growth and development.

The Oore prayed for peace and tranquility in Otun Ekiti, Mobaland, Ekiti State and Nigeria in general.
