“I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter His courts with praise, I will say this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice for He has made me glad, He has made me glad, He has made me glad, He has made me glad, I will rejoice for He has made me glad”
THANKFUL OORE, ROYAL FAMILY CELEBRATE GOD’S GOODNESS
By John Odunayo
For the family of the Oore of Otun Ekiti and Paramount Ruler of Moba Kingdom, Oba (Dr) Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo, Ilufemiloye I, Okinbaloye II, it was yet another time to be thankful to God on Sunday, October 4.
In sync with Psalm 100:4, each of the family members sang “I will enter His gates with thanksgiving in my heart, I will enter His courts with praise, I will say this is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice for He has made me glad, He has made me glad, He has made me glad, He has made me glad, I will rejoice for He has made me glad”.

It was at the St Stephen Catholic Church, Otun Ekiti, where Oba Adeagbo and his wife, Olori Abidemi Catherine Adediwura Adeagbo and members of the royal family were joined by well-wishers comprising traditional rulers, church leaders, government representatives, chiefs and distinguished sons and daughters of Moba land for thanksgiving to God.
The Oore and his family have so many things to be grateful to God for on daily basis, hence songs of praise and thanksgiving on their lips always.
But on this august occasion on October 4, the Oore and the Olori hinged the Service of Thanksgiving on four areas of God’s handwork in their lives.

These were the wedding anniversary thanksgiving to celebrate God for the grace, love, blessing and enduring union of Oba Adekunle and Olori Adediwura Adeagbo.
The royal family also celebrated with thanksgiving the successful acquisition of Canadian citizenship, which they described as another significant milestone and blessing for the family.
Oba Adekunle and Olori Adediwura Adeagbo were also before the Lord in thanksgiving for His grace, love and favour for Prince Obaloluwa’ Adeagbo, on successful completion of a Master’s Degree in Architecture at the remarkable age of 22.

Oba Adeagbo also expressed gratitude to God with the thanksgiving service for the peace and tranquillity in Otun Ekiti and Moba Kingdom as prayers were offered for sustained peace, unity, stability and tranquillity across Otun Ekiti, the entire Moba Kingdom, Ekiti State and Nigeria.
According to the traditional ruler, the thanksgiving service serves as a reminder of the importance of peace among the people.
The Oore said, “Ensuring peace remains a collective responsibility” as he charged traditional institutions, government, religious bodies and citizens “to continue to work together for the progress of the land”.

Prayers were offered for continued wisdom, good health and long life for Oba Adekunle and Olori Adediwura Adeagbo, greater achievements for Prince Adeagbo, and lasting peace and prosperity throughout Otun Ekiti and Moba Kingdom.
Dignitaries at the thanksgiving service included the Catholic Bishop of Ekiti Diocese, Bishop Felix Ajakaye; Moba traditional rulers; Moba Oloris, members of the Oore-in-Council, chiefs, community leaders and other prominent guests.
The roll call also included Mr Olusesan Aina, alongside other distinguished sons and daughters of Moba land and well-wishers who joined the royal family in celebrating the day.
