The acting Chairman, African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti State, Chief Dare Adekolu, on Wednesday showed solidarity with one of the party’s candidates in the just concluded local government election in the state, Femi Olorunda.

Adekolu put up an appearance at the election petitions tribunal where Olorunda is challenging the victory of the All Progressives Congress in the chairmanship election conducted at Isokan Local Council Development Area in December last year.

The ADC candidate, who came second in the election, is challenging the winner (APC candidate) on alleged certificate non-compliance by the APC vice chairmanship candidate of APC.

Olorunda is also challenging the winner of the election that he did not allegedly resign from public service at the time frame speculated by law.

The tribunal, however, adjourned further hearing in the petition till Friday, 16th February, 2024.
