Accolades as retiring Ekiti HoS, Komolafe, pays farewell visit

After 35 meritorious years in service, Engr Sunday Komolafe is bowing out of the public service of Ekiti.

He is fulfilled having risen to the pinnacle of his career and retiring as a Head of Service.

His farewell visit to the Ministry of Local Government Affairs on Thursday was yet another time for praises to be showered on him and for the civil servants to be challenged as far as their career is concerned.

The Commissioner for Local Government Affairs, Hon. Folorunso Olabode, speaking while receiving the retiring HoS in the Ministry, congratulated Engr Komolafe on his outstanding record, describing him as a good man, having known him since 2010.

Olabode appreciated Komolafe for his “amiable and kind heart that are his hallmarks in the service”.

The commissioner rejoiced with Engr Komolafe for getting to the peak of his career in the service and prayed to continue to grant him sound health.

He called on the civil servants to emulate the retiring HoS’ “exemplary leadership in the discharge of their duties”.

Olabode charged civil servants in the state “to always display diligence and commitment in their duties so that they can leave outstanding legacies that will stand the test of time”.

In his address, the retiring Head of Service, Engr Komolafe, lauded the state government for giving him the enablement to serve meritoriously for 35 Years.

Komolafe lauded the management of MLGA for the warm reception accorded him, describing the ministry as his second home having worked there few years ago.

In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary in MLGA, Mr Babatunde Olaoye, congratulated the retiring HoS for a good record of service and appreciated his numerous achievements, wishing him well in his future endeavors in good health, strength and vitality.

Highpoint of the event was the presentation of gifts to Engr Komolafe and the rendition of specially composed farewell songs by the Ministry’s choir.
