* ARG hails Tinubu, says tribunal victory well deserved

The Afenifere Renewal Group, (ARG), a Socio-cultural and political organisation, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu on his victory at the Presidential Election Appeal Tribunal, saying the court’s position further validated the fact that he emerged through popular votes.
Afenifere, which said it was a well deserved victory, said the court’s position “has helped in exposing the litany of lies being peddled by the candidates of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and his People’s Democratic Party counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, that Tinubu rigged to emerge victorious”.
ARG Publicity Secretary in Ekiti State, Hon. Michael Ogungbemi, in a statement in Ado Ekiti congratulated Tinubu on his victory, and appealed to all Nigerians to coalesce efforts with the Nigerian leader to take Nigeria to the promised land.
ARG congratulated All Progressive Congress members and indeed all Nigerian citizens who stood solidly behind Tinubu while campaigning to garner votes, saying the victory signposted that their labour had not been in vain.
The body called on the petitioners to be patriotic enough to rally round the current government in the task of evolving a nation that is progressive and prosperous, rather than toeing the path of division or stoking the ember of disunity.
He said, “The Afenifere Renewal Group wishes to extend its heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency, the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on the verdict by the Election Petition Tribunal, which validated his victory. This is truly a momentous occasion that deserves recognition and celebration.
“The outcome of the appeal demonstrates the unwavering commitment to justice and the democratic process. The determination to fairly evaluate the electoral disputes and arrive at a just verdict is commendable. The tireless efforts put forth by the legal representatives involved and the esteemed judges must be acknowledged”.
The ARG spokeperson noted that by upholding the principles of fairness, transparency, and the rule of law, the election petition tribunal had shown its dedication to preserving the integrity of the country’s electoral system.
He said, “This judgment is not only a victory for Mr President and the party but also for the entire nation as it strengthens our trust in the judiciary and serves as a catalyst for a thriving democracy.
