Ambassadorial Appointment: FUOYE celebrates Fasina on Senate confirmation, appreciates Tinubu

Staff and students of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) on Friday celebrated Prof. Abayomi Sunday Fasina on his confirmation by the Nigeria Senate for the appointment as Non-Career Ambassador and High Commissioner of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saying the development signals yet another great achievement by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
A press statement co-signed by a team of Senior and junior staff members of the University, titled: Congratulatory Message, the University community says:
“We heartily congratulate and celebrate our own, Professor Abayomi Sunday Fasina, B.Sc. (Ibadan), M.Sc. (Ibadan), Ph.D. (Ibadan), RSS, FSSN, FHORTSON, the immediate past Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, on his confirmation by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as an Ambassador-Designate, and on the joyous occasion of his 65th Birthday today, 17th July, 2026.
