House of Representatives member (Ekiti North Federal Constituency II), Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole, has called on all Nigerians irrespective of political or religious affiliations to always embrace peace, harmony, unity and tolerance in all situations.
Kolawole described peace, harmony, unity and tolerance as important ingredients needed for meaningful development in every society.
The federal lawmaker made the call in a goodwill message to mark the 2024 Christmas celebrations.
He urged Nigerians especially Christians to imbibe the spirit of humility and other attitudes of Jesus Christ in their daily activities to develop the Country.
Kolawole said, “Christmas celebration must not be regarded as a merry making event alone, but rather an avenue to reawaken the Christ-like spirit in every Christian to be seen as a role model to others through actions and dealings.
“This will not only further facilitate the growth of the religion in the country, but at the same time, curb corruption and other ills in the Nigerian system in order to fast-track real development in the country”.
While congratulating all Nigerian Christians especially his constituents, the lawmaker urged them to continue to support the All Progressives Congress administration both at the federal and state levels.
He said, “The APC is resolved and determined to bring back the lost glory of Nigeria soon, hence the need for the support of all Nigerians to achieve greatness”.
