Ekiti community appreciates Tinubu, Oyebanji over tertiary institution

* It will improve social and economic life

The people of Ilawe Ekiti in the Ekiti South West Local Government area of Ilawe Ekiti have appreciated the Federal Government and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the establishment of Federal College of Education Ilawe Ekiti in their domain.

The community, under the aegis of Ilawe Improvement Union, said the development has taken Ilawe Ekiti and the whole of Ekiti South Senatorial District to a higher phase in terms of human and capital development which is one of the cardinal programmes of the present administration.

IPU Lagos President, Mr Richard Apata, in a statement, said, “This (institution) will improve the social and economic life of the people.

“We therefore solicit the support of Nigerians for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his efforts to bail Nigeria and the citizenry out of the present economic quagmire”

Abereowo and Apata also lauded Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, “for his unflinching support towards the take off of the College in Ilawe”.

The union also commended the effort of the Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, Afuntade I, “for the various developments in the community during his reign”.

IPU added, “We also appreciate the contributions of sons and daughters of Ilawe for their efforts for the successful take off of the school”.

While pledging support for the college, the Union also urged members to contribute financially for the successful take off of the Institution as the Union prepares to celebrate its 100 years of existence.
