Ekiti JSC seeks more grassroot policing, intelligence gathering to curb crime

The Chairman of Emure, Ise/Orun ans Ikere Local Government Areas Joint Security Committee, Elder Tunji Falana, has canvassed more grassroot policing and intelligence gathering as part of measures to reduce crime and criminalities in the communities.

Falana, who spoke during an advocacy visit of the JSC to the Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ekiti State Command, Matthew Toma, said grassroot policing was paying off for the three council areas.

He appreciated the efforts of the NSCDC and other security agencies in the state in the fight against crime.

The JSC chairman urged Commandant Toma not to renege in supporting the grassroots security architectures in the state.

Responding, the NSCDC Commandant, Toma, assured the Joint Security Committee of the corps’ support and as well delivering in its mandate of monitoring of critical national assets and infrastructures.
