The Oore of Otun Ekiti and Permanent Chairman, Moba Traditional Council of Obas, Ekiti State, Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo, has mourned the passage of the immediate past president of Nigeria, Muhammad Buhari.
Buhari, a retired military chief, died in the United Kingdom on Sunday.
Oba Adeagbo, who is the Southwest Coordinator National Council of Traditional Rulers, recalled the visit of some traditional rulers from the Southwest Zone to the former president in Daura, Katsina State last year where he was enjoying life after office.
The monarch said that Buhari, who led Nigeria as both military head of state and democratically elected president, left behind a legacy of transparency and would be sorely missed.
Oba Adeagbo prayed that “May the soul of our beloved leader rest in peace”.
