Retired Army chief and former Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Defence, Major General Olu Bajowa, has congratulated the Commissioner of Police, INTERPOL, Olubode Ojajuni, on his election into the INTERPOL Africa Committee.
Ojajuni recently won the keenly contested election in South Africa and with that, Nigeria secured the fifth seat on the Committee with a tenure of two years.
In a congratulatory message to Ojajuni, the retired general and elder statesman stated, “Dear CP Ojajuni, big congratulations on the national and international recognitions!
“Well-done!! The sky is the limit, and I wish you more grease to your elbows. Best regards”.
He also hailed the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Dr Kayode Egbetokun, identifying and developing talents in the force, strengthening the security agency.
The retired general also expressed excitement at repositioning of the police for international policing and moving the security agency to international reckoning.
