INEC declares Ododo winner of Kogi governorship election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday night declared the All Progressives Congress candidate, Usman Ododo, winner of the Saturday’s governorship election in Kogi State.

The State Returning Officer, Prof Johnson Urama, said, “Usman Ododo, having satisfied the requirements of the law is hereby declared winner and returned elected”.

Ododo of APC scored 446,237 votes to defeat the Social Democratic Party candidate, Muritala Ajaka, who secured 259,052 votes and Dino Melaye of the People’s Democratic Party, who had 46,362 votes.
