A Member, House of Representatives from Ekiti North Federal Constituency II, Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole, has expressed happiness over the appointment of Senator Dayo Adeyeye as Chairman of Nigerian Ports Authority by President Bola Tinubu.

Kolawole, a federal lawmaker who represents Moba, Ido/Osi and Ilejemeje LGAs of Ekiti State, says that the appointment is a well deserved honour for such a committed and pragmatic All Progressives Congress chieftain in Ekiti State.

The House of Representatives member, in a statement, praised President Tinubu on the new development.

Kolawole described Sen. Adeyeye as “a versatile, brilliant, sturdy and practical politician, administrator, lawyer and journalist whose wealth of experience is much needed in such exalted position to contribute his quota towards the reinvigoration and rejuvenation of Nigerian Ports”.

He said that the contribution of the former Minister of State for Works in Nigeria for the actualisation of President Tinubu’s ambition would forever be a reference point.

According to him, Sen. Adeyeye, who is the Coordinator of the South West Agenda (SWAGA), a major political machinery for President Tinubu’s ambition, piloted the team and took the campaign to all nooks and crannies of the country.

He said, “This appointment will rekindle the hope of many politicians who are yet to get political appointments to remain steadfast, committed and optimistic. The APC governments in Nigeria and Ekiti State under President Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji respectively will continue to compensate all deserving members”.

Kolawole expressed optimism over the ability and zeal of Sen. Adeyeye to make the NPA more efficient and productive during his tenure and urged Ekiti people to pray for the success of the new NPA chairman in office.
