Oyebanji makes strategic appointments

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has approved appointments into some strategic positions, as part of efforts at positioning the administration for optimal service delivery.

The Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yinka Oyebode, said the appointment included 11 Directors-general, two Technical Advisers, three Advisors, eight Senior Special Assistants and a chairman of Agency.

Oyebode, who said the governor also approved a seven-member board for the Fountain Holding Limited, the investment arm of the government, said that all the appointments were with immediate effect.

The new directors-general are Mrs Olawumi Famuyiwa (Civic Orientation and Citizenship), Mr Biodun Oyeleye (Office of Development Partnerships), Mrs Adeola Adeleye-Fasuba (Ekiti Diaspora Relation), Mr Lekan Ijidale (Local Content Office) and Amb Wale-Ojo Lanre (Bureau of Tourism Development).

The remaining are Mrs Mary Oso Omotosho (Office of Community Communications), and Engr Wale Fagoyinbo (Public Works Corporation), Mr Bisi Adesua (Signage and Advertisement Agency), Prince Wole Ajakaiye (Office of Sustainable Development Goals), Mr. Sunkanmi Onipede (Waste Management Agency) and Dr Dotun Adetuberu (Homeland Intelligence Agency).

Oyebode listed the technical advisers as Dr Akinyemi Akinyugha (Green Economy and Ecological Matters) and AVM Sunday Makinde (Retd) (Airport Project).

Also appointed as advisors are Mr Dotun Adebayo (Corporate Sector Relations/Federal Matters), Comrade Pius Oduola Owolabi (Pension Matters) and Mr Akintobi Olusanmi (e-GIS).

The newly appointed SSAs are Mr Diran Fadipe (Community Relations), Mr Deji Adarabierin (Tax and Revenue Matters), Mrs Bunmi Alonge (Social Investment), Dr Olowoyo Sikiru (Agric Extension Services), Mr Dapo Adelabu (National Assembly Matters), Mr Nojeem Olanrewaju Ologunja (Special Interest Groups), Mr Kehinde Ajayi (Special Agric Processing Zone) and Ms Damola Ajibade (Inter- Governmental/Consular Affairs).

Oyebanji also appointed Hon Arinka Odunayo as chairman of Petroleum Product Regulation and Consumer Protection Agency.

He also appointed the following for the board of Fountain Holding Limited: Mr Jide Ogundare (Chairman), Mrs Folakemi Fatogbe (Member), Mr Akintunde Oyebode (Ex-Officio), Mrs Tayo Adeola (Ex-Officio), Mrs Adenike-Yomi Faseun (Member), Mr Ayo Fakolade (Member) and Mr Kunle Gidado (Member).

The governor, while congratulating the new appointees, urged them to abide by the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct in the discharge of their respective duties.
