The 2025 Children’s Day was yet another time for school children at Otun Ekiti in Moba Local Government area of Ekiti to, like their peers across the country, celebrate.

It has been a unique day for them to celebrate with the Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo, who received his staff of office from the then governor, Dr Kayode Fayemi, on May 27, 2020, a day set aside for children.

The children had fun, got gifts and relished the moment spent with the monarch as they said they have started looking forward to the 2026 edition.

Oba Adeagbo advised the school children who were at his palace to celebrate the 2025 Children’s Day to face their school work and individually be a good child to their parents.

The monarch prayed that the children will grow in wisdom, knowledge and understanding and that they will always come out tops in their academic endeavours, Amin Ashe Edumare.

The Alayeluwa, however, admonished parents to take care of their children and be good examples to them, saying, “These children are the future of the country. So they have to be nurtured properly. Parents should let them learn the good virtues, morals, leadership and love from them”.
