PROMINENT traditional ruler and the Oore of Otun Ekiti Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo, on Wednesday joined the Israeli Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Ambassador Michael Freeman and his wife, Sigalit Freeman for the celebration of the 77th independence anniversary of the state of Israel.
The event, which held at the Israeli Embassy in Abuja, had in attendance some prominent traditional rulers and eminent Nigerians who attended on the invitation of Ambassador Freeman.
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, was represented at the event. Firebrand cleric, Bishop David Abioye and prominent Nigerian business moguls were also in attendance.
Recognizing the place of Oba Adeagbo and his role in nation building using the traditional position, the Ambassador, apart from the personal invitation to the Oore, extended invitation to some Otun Moba chiefs as well.
Among Otun Ekiti chiefs invited and who graced the 77th independence anniversary are the Saade of Otun Ekiti Mobaland, Chief Atolagbe Kehinde and the Saloro of Otun Ekiti Mobaland, Chief J.A Afolayan, a retired DSP.
Among diplomats at the event are the Ambassadors of Ukraine, United Kingdom and several international personalities.
The kabiyesi Oore appreciated the Israeli Ambassador for his warmth and hospitality and how he wants to change the Agricultural narratives in Otun Ekiti Mobaland with The DRIP technology and other areas of mutual interests.
The Ambassador thanked the Oore of Otun Ekiti and Paramount Ruler of Mobaland for honouring the invitation with his Chiefs, saying, “This has added colour to the event making it classic and royal”.
The Ambassador hailed the king for representing the culture, tradition and history of Otun Moba people worldwide.
