THE Oore of Otun Ekiti and Paramount Ruler of Mobaland in Ekiti State, Oba Adekunle Adeayo, Adeagbo Ilufemiloye 1, is, no doubt, among the most decorated traditional rulers in the country following his positive contributions to society and humanity.
Oba Adeagbo, who is the Permanent Chairman of the Moba Traditional Council of Obas and Chiefs, have continued to receive honours at home and abroad for promoting the traditional institution and using it as avenue to ensure unity in the country.
The recent honour being the one coming from Top Society, when the group will next month decorate the revered traditional ruler as the 2024 Society Man of the Year.
The event, where Oba Adeagbo will also double as the Royal Father of the Day, is billed for Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos on August 25, 2024 by 4pm.
Top Society will on the occasion celebrate what it termed “10 years of Robust Reportage”.
Recall that Oba Adekunle Adeagbo was honored as the Ekiti Peace Day Royal Personality of the Year 2023.
Oba Adeagbo, who is the 22nd Oore, a position steeped in over 1,000 years of history, was born into the illustrious Ile Eye Aba Ruling House of Otun Ekiti.
He is a descendant of Oore Okinbaloye, who sealed the Peace Treaty ending the historic Ekiti Parapo War in 1886.
The revered monarch is a prominent member of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria and as well Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers.
Recall also that Oba Adeagbo was the representative of the Ooni of Ife Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, at the unveiling of the new Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III.
