The Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Kafilat Ogbara, has taken pride in commitment to giving the country good representation within and outside the country.

Ogbara, who represents Kosofe Federal Constituency of Lagos State in the National Assembly spoke recently on her presence at the 735th Anniversary of the Swiss Confederation (Swiss National Day).

The lawmaker said, “I had the distinct pleasure of attending the 735th Anniversary of the Swiss Confederation (Swiss National Day).

“This prestigious engagement beautifully reflects the growing relationship between Nigeria and Switzerland, one built on mutual respect, international cooperation, and a shared commitment to inclusion, social development, and sustainable progress.

“As always, my mission on the international stage remains the same: to fly Nigeria’s flag with the utmost excellence, dignity, and strategic purpose. Representing our great nation globally is a responsibility I have always held close to my heart, ensuring that Nigeria is not just present in these global conversations, but highly respected and influential.

“As the Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Women Affairs and Social Development, participating in these high-level platforms is vital. They create meaningful opportunities for dialogue and collaboration, allowing us to align global partnerships with local advancement for the grassroots.

“Deepening our strategic bilateral relations ensures that sustainable progress reaches the good people of Kosofe Federal Constituency and Nigeria at large,” Hon. Ogbara said.
