House of Representatives member, Hon. Akinlayo Davidson Kolawole, has described the latest fuel crisis in Nigeria as an unwelcome development.

Kolawole, who represents Ekiti North Federal Constituency II, called on relevant stakeholders in the oil industry to, as a matter of urgency, fashion way to resolve all issues relating to the supply of petroleum products in order alleviate the sufferings of the masses.

The lawmaker, in a telephone chat, lamented what Nigerians were passing through at the moment, saying, “I sympathise with all Nigerians, Ekiti people and especially my constituents. All we can do in a situation like this is to be patient. I am of the hope that the fuel crisis will be addressed within the week.

“The present fuel scarcity across the country is an act of deliberate wickedness against innocent Nigerian masses by some petrol marketers.

“What Nigerians are passing through to get premium motor spirit (PMS) for the past few days is unfortunate and an unwelcome development,” the lawmaker said.
