* Election billed for Sept 17 will be free, fair, transparent – Electoral Committee

The Electoral Committee for the 2025 FUOYE Alumni National Election has released the proposed timetable for the upcoming election.
The Chairman of the committee, Busuyi Ajayi, says that the nomination forms for FUOYE Alumni National Association positions are now on sale.
Busuyi Ajayi, who said that interested candidates had been showing enthusiasm about the development, said, “We are pleased to see that people are already obtaining the forms.
“We encourage all eligible candidates to participate in the electoral process,” the electoral committee chairman said.
The Committee has, however, outlined the following key dates:
– Nomination Period: October 1, 2024 to February 28, 2025
– Screening of Candidates: March 1, to April 30, 2025
– Campaign Period: May 1, 2025, to August 31, 2025
– Election Date: September 17, 2025
– Orientation and Leadership Training: October -November 2025
– Inauguration/Swearing-in: After the Leadership Training.
The electoral committee chairman, Busuyi Ajayi, said that the Committee gave ample time for the campaign period in a bid to provide enough time for candidates to reach out to alumni across the country and abroad.
He said, “We want to ensure that all candidates have sufficient time to connect with our alumni and showcase their vision for the association”.
According to him, the Electoral Committee will have regular interactive sessions with the University Management through the Director of Advancement, Professor Olubukola Oyawoye, to ensure proper briefing and updates.
The Electoral Committee Chairman assured all stakeholders that ‘the election will be free, fair and transparent. We encourage all eligible candidates to participate in the electoral process”.
