HOW THE COUNTRIES STAND

The United States topped the medals table at the Paris Olympics with 40 Gold medals after the final title was decided on Sunday.
The US had a total of 126 medals made of 40 Gold, 44 Silver and 42 Bronze.
China also finished with 40 Gold medals to emerge in the second position on the medal table.
China had a total of 91 medals comprising 40 Gold, 27 Silver and 24 Bronze.
France, the host country finished fifth with 16 gold medals.
