The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has officially approved the establishment of FAMSAS College of Health Sciences and Technology in Keffi, Nasarawa State.
The approval, dated February 17th, 2025, underscores the institution’s readiness to deliver quality technical education in health sciences and related fields.
According to a statement by the institution, a letter of approval signed by the NBTE Executive Secretary stated that “FAMSAS College has been accredited to offer five key National Diploma (ND) programmes. The programmes are designed to address critical manpower needs in Nigeria’s healthcare and technology sectors.
The approved programmes are:
* ND Community Health,
* ND Health Information, Management,
* ND Public Health Technology,
* ND Computer Science, and
* ND Epidemiology and Disease
The statement said, “The management of FAMSAS College expresses profound gratitude to the NBTE for granting this approval. We reaffirm our commitment to providing top-tier education and training that aligns with global best practices.
“We also emphasize our dedication to producing skilled professionals who will contribute significantly to Nigeria’s healthcare and technological advancement.
“This approval represents a significant step forward in expanding access to technical education in Nigeria, particularly in the health sciences. It also highlights NBTE’s commitment to fostering innovation and excellence in technical and vocational education while addressing critical gaps in healthcare delivery.
