A member, Ondo State House of Assembly Service Commission, Hon. Oladejo Adeloye, has mourned the passage of the Owa of Idanre, His Majesty, Oba Fredrick Aroloye, describing it as a monumental loss to the Idanre community.

Oba Aroloye, whose reign witnessed notable developments, progress and numerous transformational innovations which have made Idanre what it is today, passed on Tuesday at the age of 97 years.

Adeloye, a former member of Ondo State House of Assembly, described the monarch as a unifying factor and a ruler who had his sights on the development of the kingdom, Ondo State and Nigeria during his lifetime.

The politician, who is also a former Chairman, Idanre Local Government, said that Oba Aroloye’s love for humanity knew no bounds, adding that he had undying passion for supporting the growth of his people.

Adeloye said, “His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Frederick Adegunle Aroloye, Arubiefin IV, (JP) OFR, Owa of Idanre kingdom, will sorely be missed. He was a lover of his people.

“When I was in the House of Assembly representing Idanre State Constituency, his encouragement knew no bounds to me. Most of the achievements I recorded are traceable to his fatherly advice and support. As the Chairman of Idanre Local Government Council, he was the pillar of support to me.

“He did not joke with the security of lives and properties of his people. He was a lover of peace and his reign brought meaningful peace and development to Idanre land.

“His demise is a great loss to the community, but we thank God that he lived a very good life and left behind great legacies. He will forever be on our minds. We will remember him for all his good deeds and achievements for our town and for humanity.

“On behalf of myself, my family and supporters, I sympathise with the entire Idanre people for this loss and pray that God gives us the fortitude to bear it.

For Idanre people including Hon. Adeloye, the late monarch will be remembered for his passionate love of his people, fairness, impartial judgements, promotion of culture and tradition of his people and his fear of God.

He will be remembered for his passionate love of his people, fairness, impartial judgements, promotion of culture and tradition of his people and above all, his fear of God.
