Former Chairman, Ekiti State Council of Traditional rulers and the Alawe of Ilawe Ekiti, Oba Adebanji Ajibade Alabi, has described the appointments of two distinguished senators from Ekiti State into leadership positions as a big win for the state.
Oba Alabi congratulated Senator Bamidele Opeyemi from Iyin Ekiti on his appointment as Senate Leader.
The traditional ruler also hailed Senator Adeyemi Adaramodu from Ilawe Ekiti on his appointment as the Chairman, Media and Publicity committee of the Senate.
The Alawe, in a statement by his Media Adviser, High Chief Ajibade Olubunmi, said, “The high ranking Ekiti born politicians have further raised the pedigree of Ekiti people in the rank of Nigerian lawmakers looking at the antecedents of the two senators.
“I am confident that their political influence and leadership prowess in the Red Chamber will herald good discourse in the Senate and contribute to promote good governance that will invariably affect all Nigerians.”
While rejoicing with with the two senators, the Alawe prayed that “God will bestow on them the wisdom and blessings to perform wonderfully in their new assignments to the benefit Ekiti people and Nigerians in general”.
