Police nab three suspects as abducted Ekiti APC chair regains freedom

The chairman of All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Paul Omotoso, who was abducted along Imesi Ekiti – Agbado Ekiti Road on Saturday has regained his freedom.

Sources said that he was freed and rejoined his family hale and hearty in the night.

A reliable source at the APC chairman’s Imesi Ekiti home town said in the night, “Barrister Paul Omotoso is back home hale and hearty just now. We are happy”.

The Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State, Dare Ogundare, who confirmed the release in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti State Command, Sunday Abutu, added that three suspects had been arrested.

Ogundare said, “The APC Chairman of the State, Mr Paul Omotoso, alongside two others that were recently abducted by unknown hoodlums have regained their freedom and have been reunited with their families.

“Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping and are supplying useful information that could lead to the arrest of the prime suspects who are currently at large.

“This breakthrough was made possible through the combined efforts of the police, other sisters agencies, local security outfits and family members as well as the Ekiti State Government”.

He appreciated the good spirited members of the public for their concern and relentless supports and CP implored Ekiti people “to be security conscious, vigilant and ensure prompt reportage of any suspicious person or group of persons observed in their locality to the nearest Police Station in the state or call 08062335577”.
