The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has officially declared Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressives Congress (APC), as the winner of Saturday’s governorship election in Imo state.
The INEC Retuning Officer for the state, Professor Abayomi Fashina, said the incumbent won with 540,308 votes while PDP and Labour Party came distant 2nd and 3rd respectively with 71,503 votes and 64,081 votes respectively.
Fashina stated, “That Uzodinma of the APC, having certified the provisions of the law is hereby returned elected”.
